kommen – infinitive → always used with Sie except with the verb sein (to be), which has an irregular verb form →Sie sind
Examples of familiar and formal questions:
a Wie alt bist du? → formal: Wie alt sind Sie?
b Hast du Kinder?→formal: Haben Sie Kinder?
c Woher kommst du→ familiar: Woher kommen Sie?
d Wie heißt du? → formal: Wie heißen Sie?
e Hast du ein Haustier?→ formal: Haben Sie ein Haustier?
f Kannst du Gitarre spielen?→ Können Sie Gitarre spielen?
g Kannst du gut tanzen?→ Können Sie gut tanzen?
h Wann hast du Geburtstag?→ Wann haben Sie Geburtstag?
